Molacola is a 100% Italian project born in 2013 to delight its fans and promote social responsibility.
It’s the extraordinary result of a collaboration between Italian companies sharing their experience and vision to create an innovative brand and taste Italian at heart.
From the idea to the supply chain, Molecola is an excellent example of Made in Italy
That's the way Molecola surprises you!
An exclusive bottle, designed and made in Italy, that pays homage to the '40 and '50s Divas of the cinema
We supports Renken Onlus, an Italian ASSOCIATION INVOLVED IN PROJECTS FOR THE EDUCATION AND THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN IN SENEGAL.
Since 2019 we have completely abandoned plastic packaging. A choice of love for the environment and our consumers.
Inspired by a famous 1954 book of piedmontese recipes and in collaboration with an historical Aromatherié based in Tuscany, we developed a drink that is exceptionally delicious, refreshing…and 100% Italian.
Our cola was named after the Mole Antonelliana, a famous and much loved building in Turin. The building’s shape also inspired the design on our cans.
A famous piedmontese group of high-quality burger restaurants (“hamburgherie”), relying on local products and a short supply chain, decided to offer two completely Italian soft drinks – MOLECOLA CLASSICA and MOLECOLA SENZA ZUCCHERO – in place of traditional American colas. After one year of tests results exceeded expectations and MOLECOLA sales were on the rise.
The MOLECOLA family is enriched by MOLECOLA BIMBI, a drink meeting the taste and expectations of children as well as the requirements of their parents. Meanwhile, MOLECOLA becomes increasingly popular and is selected by best restarurants and cafes across Italy.
COOP decide to embrace the MOLECOLA project and offer the Italian Cola in all its supermarkets across Northwest Italy. One million cans are produced and sold and MOLECOLA reaches yet another the milestone being selected by EATALY stores to complete a prestigious range of Italian products. MOLECOLA takes the market by storm and quickly becomes the most sold drink in their stores in Milan and Rome.
MOLECOLA is adopted by distributors such as Auchan, Conrad, Metro, Carrefour and goes international, becoming available in other countries such as Germany and Australia.
We start our collaboration with RENKEN ONLUS, an Italian association devoted to the education and protection of children in Senegal
2016 was a year of change with the supermarket debut of the new 500ml and 1l bottles.
The wiggly bottle, which wears a clatchy sleeve like a dress, tells about Molecola’s philosophy and italian spirit. Furthermore it’s enriched by a side band, called “MISURA-SETE” (“thirst meter”) indicating the recommended and consumed amounts.
Molecola’s Italian heart beats in the Big Apple. Thanks to the cooperation with Eataly, the most Italian Cola in the world can be found on the shelves of their stores in Chicago, New York (and soon Boston and Los Angeles) and, with its irresistable taste, it’s ready to take the American market by storm.
The new glass bottle, called 90-60-90, enters the world of restaurants. Its shape evokes the curves of the Divas of the ’50s and its elegant details are inspired by the style of Italian tailors.
Since Novermber 2017 Molecola is certificated by Italcheck, an association protecting the “Made-in-Italy” mark as well as consumers from false italian products and the well-known “Italian sounding”.
The 90.60.90 bottle designed by Curve Studio wins the coveted International Design Award (IDA), an important annual competition hold in Los Angeles.
Selected among more than 3000 submissions from 95 countries, the 90.60.90 bottle won the first prize in the “Material Design” category because of the uniqueness of the glass making process and its finishing, similar to a tailor-made tweed.
Molecola’s recipe is slightlly changed to include a selection of organic and fairtrade ingredients with fresh and strong spices.
The new recipe makes the soft drink more natural and gives it an exotic taste. Molecola Organic Fair Trade is the result of the collaboration between Altromercato Consortium and Renken Onlus.
The first tree is planted in support of the “RENKEN COLA NUTS” project which is essential for the recipe of MOLECOLA
Molecola decides to use glass rather than plastic because, let’s face it, life in plastic IS NOT fantastic! The choice has a twofold motivation: love and respect for Nature and the desire to guarantee our customers a drink with an impeccable flavor.
Glass helps us to maintain unchanged over time both the taste and the degree of carbonation of Molecola, without releasing any flavor or harmful substances. In addition, it is produced with natural raw materials and can be recycled indefinitely. So we can defend the planet from unnecessary waste and your taste buds from unpleasant flavors!
Molecola is so good and the 90.60.90 so beautiful that a 33cl bottle was no longer enough. That’s why the family… got bigger! Classic, Sugar Free and Caffeine Free have a new 75 cl format that joins the traditional 33 cl one.
We are much more than numbers, but some of our figures are significant and representative of our story.
